These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the online courses, digital products, membership programmes, and related services (“Services”) provided by Richard Burton Art / Richard Burton Watercolour, operated by Richard Burton (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By purchasing, accessing, or using any of our Services, you (“you”, “the student”, “the customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not purchase or use our Services.

 1.⁠ ⁠Course Access & Licensing

1.1 When you purchase a course, you receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access the course materials for personal and non-commercial use.

1.2 Course access is typically lifetime access, meaning for as long as the course is hosted and maintained by us. If hosting platforms change, we will endeavour to provide continued access wherever reasonably possible.

1.3 You may not:

Share your login with others

Upload course materials to the internet

Sell, distribute, or reproduce the lessons or handouts

Use our materials to teach your own courses

Doing so may result in your access being suspended without refund.

 2.⁠ ⁠Payment Terms

2.1 All prices are listed in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise.

2.2 Payment is required in full at checkout unless instalment/payment plans are offered.

2.3 If using a payment plan, you agree to complete all payments.

Failure to complete payments may result in loss of access until payment is resolved.

2.4 We reserve the right to update prices at any time.

 3.⁠ ⁠Refund Policy

3.1 Our digital products and online courses are non-refundable due to the immediate access provided.

We are confident in the quality of the material; however, if you experience technical issues, we will assist with resolving them.

3.2 Exceptions may be made for:

Duplicate purchases

Genuine platform access issues that cannot be resolved

These will be assessed individually.

3.3 Customers may reschedule their booking of in-person courses/workshops free of charge up to:

8 weeks before the course or workshop start date

Rescheduling is subject to availability.
After this point, rescheduling is not permitted.

3.4 Because each course and workshop has limited spaces and advance preparation, all bookings are considered final.

Cancellations are non-refundable, regardless of reason.

However, customers may reschedule (see section 3.3) if within the 8-week window.

If Richard Burton Art must cancel an event for any reason, customers will be offered:

A full refund or a free transfer to a new date

3.5 Physical Products (Original Paintings & Prints)

Refunds are available for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.

Customers must notify Richard within 14 days of delivery with photo evidence.

Change-of-mind returns may be accepted at Richard’s discretion; buyer must pay return postage and ensure safe return.

 4.⁠ ⁠Course Content & Updates

4.1 We may update, modify, or improve course content at any time in order to enhance the learning experience.

4.2 We cannot guarantee any specific results from taking the course.

Your progress depends on your time, skills, and dedication.

4.3 All reference photos, paintings, exercises, and teaching methods remain the property of Richard Burton.

 5.⁠ ⁠Student Conduct

By enrolling, you agree to:

Be respectful in any comments, discussion areas, or emails

Not harass, insult, or abuse instructors or other students

Not share copyright-protected materials outside of the course

We reserve the right to remove access for behaviour deemed inappropriate or damaging.

 6.⁠ ⁠Intellectual Property

6.1 All videos, lessons, handouts, PDFs, reference images, brushes, and course materials are protected by copyright under UK and international law.

6.2 Students may:

Paint along with the lessons

Share their paintings (with credit appreciated but not required)

Sell their own paintings created during the course

6.3 Students may not:

Recreate Richard Burton’s paintings as prints for sale

Teach any part of the course material as their own

Copy or reuse the course structure, exercises, or reference images

You are responsible for ensuring you have:

A reliable internet connection

A device capable of streaming video

The basic materials recommended in the course

We cannot be held responsible for technical limitations on your side.

 8.⁠ ⁠Personal Data & Privacy

Your personal information is used solely for:

Providing access to courses

Email communication about your purchase

Updates, newsletters, or marketing (you may unsubscribe at any time)

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

9.1 Watercolour painting involves the use of art materials and equipment. You agree to take reasonable care and follow health and safety guidelines.

9.2 All content is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied.

9.3 We cannot guarantee that the website or course platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, though we make every effort to maintain high service reliability.

We may update these Terms at any time.

Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
